Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of thermal management systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop and validate prototypes through rigorous FEA simulation and physical testing
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost-effective production of aluminum and composite components
- Collaborate with electrical engineering teams to integrate thermal solutions into battery systems
- Create detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and manufacturing drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Workbench for thermal/structural analysis
- Proven track record of developing thermal management systems for energy applications
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with DFM principles and aluminum/composite material selection
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP preferred
- Portfolio showcasing complex mechanical design projects
