Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production, utilizing CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and optimize electromechanical systems for EV powertrains and autonomous vehicle components
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Design and validate prototype assemblies through rapid prototyping and physical testing
- Document design specifications, create technical drawings, and prepare manufacturing documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to maintain quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred) with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in electromechanical system design for automotive or aerospace applications
- Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and physical testing methodologies
- Ability to lead complex projects and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility
