Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and stormwater systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000)
- Oversee construction phases, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and engineering standards
- Prepare detailed technical documentation: plans, specifications, cost estimates, and environmental impact reports
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams (architects, environmental scientists, contractors)
- Conduct site inspections and resolve complex engineering challenges with innovative solutions
- Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations (TxDOT, FEMA, OSHA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and geospatial software
- Proven track record managing projects over $10M with successful delivery
- Strong knowledge of sustainable infrastructure practices (LEED certification a plus)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with federal/state grant applications and public-private partnerships
