Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical assemblies from conceptualization to production.
- Perform advanced stress, thermal, and fatigue analysis using FEA to ensure structural integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and firmware engineers, to integrate mechatronic systems.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and oversee the transition from design to mass manufacturing.
- Optimize components for cost-efficiency, weight reduction, and manufacturability (DFM).
- Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or aerospace.
- Expertise in SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
- Strong background in GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Proven track record of taking complex products through the full product development lifecycle.
- Experience with motion control systems, gearboxes, and precision linkage mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in an agile environment.
