Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept prototyping to mass production
- Develop CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and Creo
- Perform FEA/thermal analysis to validate structural integrity and performance
- Optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and cost reduction
- Collaborate with electrical/software teams on integrated system architectures
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering + 8+ years experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/CATIA with complex assemblies
- Proven FEA simulation experience (ANSYS/Abaqus)
- Strong GD&T knowledge and tolerance stack analysis skills
- Experience with DFM/DFA principles and production processes
- Knowledge of motion systems, pneumatics, and actuation systems
- Experience with medical or robotics industry preferred
- PMP or Six Sigma certification a plus
