Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis for structural integrity and thermal optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs with electrical and control systems
- Develop manufacturing documentation and support production validation
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Research emerging materials and technologies for aerospace applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of aerospace/defense experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and DFM principles
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Proven project management with PMP or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
