Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of complex robotic systems and automation equipment using SolidWorks and CAD software.
  • Conduct thorough stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and dynamic simulations to ensure product reliability and safety.
  • Develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications compliant with ANSI Y14.5 GD&T standards.
  • Manage the product development lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, validation, and iteration cycles.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.
  • Perform root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective engineering solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the R&D department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within robotics, automation, or heavy machinery industries.
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor with a strong portfolio of 3D models and assemblies.
  • Deep understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and material selection (plastics, metals, composites).
