Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Drilling Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the lifecycle of our drilling operations. Your expertise will ensure that we deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of drilling programs, ensuring optimal well trajectories and reservoir access.
- Oversee on-site drilling operations, providing technical guidance to field teams and ensuring strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols.
- Analyze geological and geophysical data to recommend drilling techniques and equipment selections.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and risk assessments for drilling projects to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with reservoir engineers, geologists, and project managers to integrate technical strategies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Deep knowledge of drilling fluids, well control, and cementing practices.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Petrel, Landmark, or similar drilling simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of local and international drilling regulations and standards (e.g., API, OSHA).
- Proven track record of leading high-performance teams and managing complex projects.
