What You'll Achieve:
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from prototyping to mass production. Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes while maintaining AS9100 compliance. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to our patent portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize complex mechanical systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal analysis
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated product development
- Validate prototypes through rigorous testing and iteration cycles
- Ensure compliance with FAA, ISO, and industry-specific standards
- Lead technical reviews and design change management processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of aerospace or high-tech mechanical design experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus
- Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Strong background in composite material design and manufacturing
- Experience with DFMEA and APQP methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering FAA-certified components
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
