Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of EV battery systems and thermal management solutions using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and optimize performance under extreme conditions
- Develop detailed technical specifications and create manufacturing drawings for high-volume production
- Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and components while maintaining cost targets
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards
- Prototype testing and validation in advanced laboratory environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of automotive design experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and GD&T principles
- Experience with electric vehicle systems, battery thermal management, or powertrains
- Proven track record of delivering designs from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and PLM systems
