Responsibilities
- Design & Analysis: Lead the end-to-end design of high-voltage power systems, including distribution networks and renewable energy integration.
- Simulation: Utilize ETAP and MATLAB to perform load flow analysis, short-circuit studies, and harmonic analysis.
- Project Management: Oversee project milestones from conceptual design through to final commissioning, ensuring adherence to NEC and IEEE standards.
- Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs meet strict local, state, and federal safety codes and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to maintain high standards of engineering quality.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical specifications, schematics, and operation manuals for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Master’s degree (MSEE) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in power systems engineering.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design software.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of circuit theory, power electronics, and control systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
