Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual design and prototyping of complex mechanical systems
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and stress modeling using ANSYS/AutoFEM
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system designs
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings and GD&T specifications
- Conduct design validation through prototype testing and failure analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for manufacturing
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with advanced surfacing skills
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with FEA simulation and thermal analysis
- Knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven project leadership with cross-functional teams
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
