Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop detailed engineering specifications and create production-ready drawings
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for structural optimization and validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Prototype testing and validation in our advanced R&D lab
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with clients to understand technical requirements and present design solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS or equivalent CAE tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of leading complex design projects from concept to production
- Certification in PMP or Six Sigma (desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts clearly
