Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of turbine components and fuel systems using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations and thermal analysis for extreme operating conditions
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and assembly documentation per ASME standards
- Collaborate with test engineers to validate designs through prototype validation
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Interface with suppliers for component sourcing and quality assurance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite
- Deep understanding of GD&T, ASME Y14.5, and MIL-STD-31000
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Strong analytical skills with DOE and statistical analysis background
