Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform FEA/thermal analysis and optimize designs for manufacturability and cost
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and specifications
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and validate new mechanical systems
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and industry safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial machinery
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, FEA tools (ANSYS), and GD&T
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of designing complex mechanical assemblies
- Experience with motion control systems and pneumatic/hydraulic integration
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP is highly desirable
