Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design lifecycle from concept through to full-scale production deployment.
- Perform high-fidelity FEA and multi-body dynamic simulations to optimize system performance and structural integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electrical, and systems engineering to ensure seamless integration.
- Design intricate assemblies for high-speed robotic components using advanced CAD methodologies.
- Oversee rapid prototyping efforts, including 3D printing and CNC machining, to validate design assumptions.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in mechanical design standards and documentation.
- Manage vendor relationships for custom component fabrication and drive DFM (Design for Manufacturing) initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in machine design or complex mechanical systems.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX) and PDM systems.
- Strong grasp of GD&T, material science, and mechanical tolerance analysis.
- Proven expertise in structural analysis tools such as Ansys or Abaqus.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering hardware projects on schedule.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical requirements and project vision.
