Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic subsystems and components.
- Perform structural and thermal FEA analysis to ensure optimal performance and safety under load.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electrical, and systems engineering.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Manage the complete product lifecycle from prototype iteration to final assembly.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
- Source materials and components while coordinating with external manufacturing vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within robotics or aerospace.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong background in GD&T and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing).
- Demonstrated experience in FEA/CFD simulation tools (ANSYS/COMSOL).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical assemblies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
