Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of complex aerospace components using SolidWorks and NX
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with materials engineers to select optimal alloys and composites
- Conduct prototype testing and validation in environmental chambers
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with clients to refine technical requirements and deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, NX, ANSYS)
- Deep understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in developing propulsion or actuation systems
- Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and FAA/EASA certification standards
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
