Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design for aerospace propulsion components using CAD tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling for system validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize DFM and assembly processes
- Develop comprehensive test protocols and analyze performance data
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and aerospace industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack analysis
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with systematic troubleshooting approach
