Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to optimize product performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software components
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T drawings, and validation reports
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and cost reduction initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on design experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and advanced simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in automotive or heavy machinery product development
- Strong understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, and industry standards (ASME, ISO)
- Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to complex challenges
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
