Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical assemblies and robotic end-effectors.
- Perform rigorous stress and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and system longevity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics, sensors, and software into mechanical frameworks.
- Drive product development through all lifecycle stages: conceptualization, prototyping, testing, and production hand-off.
- Develop detailed 3D models and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks or similar high-end CAD tools.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and system integration.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX).
- Demonstrated experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD software packages.
- Deep understanding of materials science, particularly regarding fatigue and wear in high-speed robotics.
- Proven track record of taking complex products from initial design to market launch.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-departmental communication skills.
