Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from conceptualization to production validation
- Develop 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks and NX
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with materials scientists to optimize component fabrication processes
- Document design methodologies and create comprehensive technical specifications
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and prototyping phases
- Interface with manufacturing teams to ensure cost-effective production scalability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and NX with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Proven track record in aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems design
- Strong understanding of composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Certification in ANSYS or similar simulation software preferred
- Experience with GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical projects
