Responsibilities
- Design and develop precision mechanical systems using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation for structural integrity
- Lead prototype testing and validation procedures in state-of-the-art labs
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes
- Research and implement advanced materials for weight reduction and performance
- Generate detailed technical documentation and engineering drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and DFMEA
- Experience with automotive or aerospace systems
- Proven track record of bringing products from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license desirable
