Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of aerospace mechanical components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including BOMs and assembly drawings
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing product lines
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven track record in product development from prototype to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
