Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of thermal management systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop and optimize heat exchanger designs for high-efficiency battery cooling applications
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate thermal performance and structural integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and control systems
- Create detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications
- Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and manufacturing processes
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS (Workbench/Fluent)
- Proven track record of thermal system design for energy storage or automotive applications
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal fabrication)
- Certification in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Experience with DFMEA and robust design methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
