Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and dynamic simulations to ensure product integrity and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, firmware specialists, and product managers, to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
- Manage the product lifecycle from conceptualization and rapid prototyping to final production, testing, and validation.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), engineering schematics, and detailed design reports.
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, NX, or Creo) and 2D drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, 3D printing).
- Experience with rapid prototyping technologies and testing methodologies (Destructive testing, vibration testing).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
