Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models using Eclipse/Petrel software to optimize hydrocarbon recovery
  • Analyze production data and well performance to identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing field development plans and economic feasibility studies
  • Prepare reservoir management reports and presentations for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster innovation in reservoir characterization methodologies
  • Collaborate with geoscience teams to integrate seismic data and geological models
  • Stay current with emerging technologies like digital twins and machine learning applications in reservoir engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of reservoir engineering experience in unconventional plays
  • Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Nexus) and Petrel
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret complex production and pressure data
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
