Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical architecture, design, and development of next-generation electro-mechanical systems from concept to production.
  • Perform advanced structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses using FEA and CFD simulation tools to ensure product reliability.
  • Generate detailed 3D CAD models, complex assemblies, and production-ready 2D drawings utilizing strict GD&T principles.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, software, and supply chain to optimize system integration.
  • Design, build, and execute rigorous physical test plans for component validation, environmental testing, and design verification.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews with manufacturing partners globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, ideally within the automotive, aerospace, or advanced robotics sectors.
  • Expert level proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo, paired with a robust understanding of PLM systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 and comprehensive tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Proven track record of designing for high-volume manufacturing processes (injection molding, casting, sheet metal, and CNC machining).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a portfolio showcasing completed projects from prototype to mass production.
