Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using CATIA V5 and SolidWorks
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Develop prototypes and validate designs through rigorous testing protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (aerostructures, materials, manufacturing) to optimize systems
- Create comprehensive technical documentation including GD&T specifications and assembly drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and EU aviation regulations
Qualifications
- MSc in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years aerospace/automotive experience
- Expert proficiency in CATIA V5 and SolidWorks with complex surface modeling
- Strong background in FEA (ANSYS) and CFD (SimScale) simulation
- Deep understanding of composite materials and lightweight design principles
- Experience with DFM/DFA and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Fluent German and English; excellent communication skills
- AS9100 certification or equivalent quality management experience
