Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and CATIA, from concept to production
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations for structural integrity and thermal optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software components
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation including GD&T, BOMs, and assembly procedures
- Drive prototype testing cycles and implement design improvements based on empirical data
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, composites)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in tolerance analysis and DFM principles
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
