Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle mechanical design of robotic end-effectors and structural components.
- Perform advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate thermal and structural integrity under stress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware integration.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles using 3D printing and CNC machining.
- Oversee design documentation, BOM management, and technical specifications for mass production.
- Mentor junior engineers and implement design-for-manufacturing (DFM) best practices.
- Conduct design reviews and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expertise in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong proficiency in GD&T and mechanical drawing standards.
- Experience with material selection, specifically alloys and high-strength polymers.
- Proven track record of taking complex assemblies from concept to production.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
