Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using CAD/CAM tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance optimization
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Research emerging materials and technologies to enhance product capabilities
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into technical specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and ISO 9001
- Experience with aerospace/automotive materials (composites, alloys, polymers)
- Proven track record in leading complex engineering projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
