Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle design for complex automated machinery and robotic subsystems.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
- Perform comprehensive FEA and tolerance analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting phases, applying root cause analysis to resolve design hurdles.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical design standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure component quality and manufacturing scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design or product development.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM systems.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, casting).
- Proven track record of managing engineering projects from concept to production.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a strong plus.
