Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept through prototyping and validation
- Develop detailed CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings using SolidWorks and NX
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to optimize structural integrity and thermal performance
- Interface with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are applied
- Create comprehensive test plans and validate designs through rigorous physical testing
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and NX with complex assembly modeling
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes (composites, machining)
- Certified in ANSYS or similar FEA/CFD simulation tools
- Demonstrated experience with DO-160 or similar aerospace standards
- Proven track record of delivering production-ready designs
