Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of robotic end-effectors and automated assembly systems from concept to production.
- Perform rigorous FEA and thermal analysis to ensure system reliability under high-load industrial conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and firmware engineers, to achieve seamless system integration.
- Generate detailed CAD models, assemblies, and high-tolerance technical drawings using SolidWorks.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and oversee physical testing/validation phases.
- Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability (DFM), and assembly (DFA).
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical design standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in robotic system design or precision electromechanical engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM/PLM software environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in FEA, kinematics, and structural dynamics.
- Proven track record of taking complex hardware products from prototype to mass production.
- Strong understanding of GD&T standards and material selection for high-performance applications.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.
