Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design using CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) for aerospace components
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize DFM and assembly processes
- Drive continuous improvement through design reviews and prototype testing
- Mentor junior engineers and foster best practices within the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/CATIA with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Strong background in FEA (ANSYS/Abaqus) and thermal analysis methodologies
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
