Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic subsystems and modular components.
- Perform advanced stress and thermal analysis using FEA to ensure optimal product durability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics, sensors, and actuators into seamless designs.
- Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing-ready engineering drawings in SolidWorks.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Oversee prototype testing and iterate designs based on performance data and field feedback.
- Manage technical documentation and BOM structures for high-volume production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics, automotive, or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD platforms.
- Proven track record in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) applications.
- Strong background in material selection and manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing).
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a passion for complex mechanical assemblies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
