Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping to production
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and Siemens NX for critical aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations using ANSYS to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement DFM/DFA principles and drive process improvements
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
- Present technical solutions to cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in precision mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and NX with proven complex assembly modeling skills
- Strong background in FEA/CFD analysis with hands-on ANSYS experience
- Deep understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes (composites, metals, additive)
- Experience with tolerance analysis and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards
- Demonstrated project leadership managing cross-functional engineering teams
