Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical assemblies, components, and subsystems using 3D CAD software.
- Lead technical design reviews and perform rigorous stress, thermal, and kinematic analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers and software developers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation phases to ensure design intent and product reliability.
- Optimize mechanical designs for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA) to maximize cost-efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in documentation and engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or precision machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, sheet metal).
- Proven track record of taking complex products from concept through to volume production.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills.
