Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic arm assemblies and end-effectors.
- Create high-fidelity 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Perform comprehensive FEA and structural analysis to ensure performance under rigorous operating conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate mechatronic systems.
- Manage the prototyping phase, coordinating with machine shops and additive manufacturing vendors.
- Establish design standards and mentor junior engineering staff on best practices.
- Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with safety and industry quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for automation or robotics industries.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM/PLM systems.
- Strong grasp of GD&T, material selection, and precision machining processes.
- Proven track record of taking products from initial concept through mass production.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, and high-performance environment.
