Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual and detailed mechanical design of complex robotic systems from prototype to production.
  • Perform structural and thermal FEA analysis to ensure system reliability under rigorous operating conditions.
  • Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless sensor and actuator integration.
  • Design intricate injection-molded, machined, and additive-manufactured components.
  • Manage technical documentation, including BOMs, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous design reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
  • Liaise with manufacturing partners to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or aerospace.
  • Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX).
  • Strong knowledge of material selection, heat treatment, and surface finishes.
  • Demonstrated experience in FEA/CFD simulation using tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
  • Deep understanding of GD&T standards and ASME Y14.5 requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and cross-functional teams.
