Responsibilities
- Lead the full-cycle mechanical design of robotic components from concept to mass production.
- Utilize advanced CAD modeling and simulation tools to optimize structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Conduct thorough FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and tolerance stack-up analysis to guarantee precision.
- Manage vendor relationships and provide technical oversight for prototyping and manufacturing.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, design reviews, and test reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in machine design or robotics.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong background in material selection, gear trains, and precision motion control.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex projects from design to implementation.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards and ANSI drafting practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-engineers.
