Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of complex robotic arm assemblies and end-effectors.
- Perform detailed FEA and thermal analysis to optimize system performance and structural integrity.
- Drive CAD development using SolidWorks, ensuring high-quality documentation and DFM/DFA principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics and software engineering, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and evaluate material selection for durability and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct design reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices for industrial mechanical design.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during the transition to production phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in product design, specifically in robotics or automated machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Proven track record of taking complex mechanical projects from initial concept to commercial launch.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material properties.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and experience with motion control systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.
