Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle from conceptualization to final prototype testing.
- Design intricate mechanical assemblies using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/NX).
- Perform rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics and software into mechanical systems.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the manufacturing process of custom parts.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct detailed design reviews.
- Optimize designs for cost-reduction, manufacturability (DFM), and assembly (DFA).
Qualifications
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in product design, preferably in robotics or aerospace.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
- Strong grasp of GD&T, material selection, and tolerance analysis.
- Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical failures under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
