We're seeking a passionate Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to spearhead the development of next-generation automotive systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform conceptual designs into high-performance production solutions, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in sustainable mobility.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Develop and optimize product designs through FEA/CFD analysis and prototyping
- Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T specifications, and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
- Conduct root cause analysis for product failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive or heavy machinery
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with simulation capabilities
- Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and quality systems
- Experience with GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and tolerance analysis
- Proven track record in product development from concept to production
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required
