Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to validation using CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize high-performance components for aerospace propulsion systems
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to ensure structural integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software components
- Document design specifications, test protocols, and technical reports
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in aerospace or high-performance mechanical product development
- Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA processes
- Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance (if required)
