Responsibilities
- Lead Design & Development: Spearhead the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components from concept through to production.
- CAD Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Engineering Analysis: Perform stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and thermal analysis to ensure product integrity and safety.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the prototyping process and coordinate rigorous testing protocols to validate design performance.
- Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Manufacturing Liaison: Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for cost-effective and efficient fabrication.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automation or robotics industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GD&T, materials science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
