Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop manufacturing processes and optimize designs for cost-effective production
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones
- Research emerging materials and technologies to enhance product capabilities
- Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, and aerospace industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or energy sectors
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with complex assemblies
- Advanced knowledge of FEA (ANSYS) and CFD (Fluent) simulation tools
- Certification in GD&T and DFMEA methodologies
- Demonstrated experience with composite material design and testing
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification a plus
