Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications for titanium/composite assemblies
- Collaborate with test engineers to prototype, validate, and iterate designs
- Interface with suppliers to qualify precision manufacturing processes
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining ISO 9001 compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years aerospace/defense experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA
- Hands-on experience with composite material design and fabrication
- Strong project management skills using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain immediately
- Clearance eligibility for government-contracted projects
