Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design lifecycle of complex mechanical robotic assemblies.
- Perform advanced structural and thermal FEA simulations to validate designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics and software into mechanical frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous technical design reviews.
- Develop detailed engineering documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing schematics.
- Manage vendor relationships for prototyping and custom component manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in machine design or robotics.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks or PTC Creo.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and precision tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience with kinematic design and gear-train integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of successful product launches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
